Agnieszka's journey began far from Perth, in Poland, where she grew up with a love of learning, languages and problem-solving.
Always a dedicated student, she became fluent in Polish and English, and also studied German. While her original plan was to study languages, life took her in a slightly different direction. She completed a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and later continued her studies at the University of Economics in Krakow, where she completed her Master's degree.
During her studies, Agnieszka began working in outsourcing, starting in Accounts Payable. Her strong attention to detail, logical thinking, mathematical skills and ability to work across languages helped her thrive. Over time, she moved into controlling and general ledger roles within large companies, building a strong foundation in accounting, reporting and business finance.
In 2013, Agnieszka and her husband made the life-changing decision to move to Australia. They were ready for a fresh start, beautiful weather and the opportunity to build a new future.
After arriving in Australia, Agnieszka completed her CPA studies and began working in public practice. She started in an administrative role, but as her experience grew, she transitioned into full-time accounting. During this time, she had the great fortune of working with Josie, an incredible mentor who trusted her, guided her and taught her so much about Australian taxation, bookkeeping and small business support.
Over nearly eight years in public practice, Agnieszka developed a deep appreciation for helping small and medium-sized business owners. She discovered that bookkeeping and Xero support were not just technical tasks — they were practical ways to give business owners confidence, structure and peace of mind.
That passion eventually led to the creation of The Perth Bookkeeper.
